Gentlemen's Library

This client — a passionate opera fan — was moved to incorporate a proper "Gentlemen's Library" into his home while researching and writing a book on his favorite composer, Richard Wagner.

His lifelong collection of nearly 7,000 classical CDs and videos and memoribilia had to be neatly organized in a functional space that allowed him a quiet area to enjoy his music, videos, or work on his writing.

This cavernous and angular room features multiple windows, doors, and alcoves that provided a challenge in crafting the perfect study, but custom built furniture is designed to follow the angles and take advantage of the height to create unusual yet beautiful storage nooks and seating for both work and relaxation. Window seats, desk space, and sectional seating come together to make this study a truly warm, intimate, yet practical "Gentlemen's Library" — just like the client wanted.
