Piecing it all Together
Henry Mercer actually used decorative verdure tapestry panels for his window treatments. He selected the tapestry, a border design and a red corduroy - then had his seamstress stitch it all together. The tapestry was a fixed length, the border added a few more inches. The corduroy was available as yardage and could be cut and hemmed to create the appropriate length for the drapery. Henry selected a wool houndstooth fabric for the drapery tabs.
