Artist's Nook

This room was filled with natural light. Through the windows you could view the pond and gardens. Elements that make a great place for painting. We resisted the temptation to add a cushion to the window seat and instead took a novel approach. We used it as a work surface for an easel and a folding portable artist's desk. We added a stool that we could adjust to the appropriate height to configure a utilitarian workspace. The angled ceiling and walls were painted a warm white which amplifies the natural light and visually enlarges the space.
