Art Deco - Mid Century Modern Kitchen
This vintage South Philadelphia Brick Row Home with an early 20th Century kitchen addition has been in the same family for several generations. The client's mother was just a girl in 1939, but she remembers her parents purchasing the Art Deco table and chairs at the New York World's Fair. The Mid-Century Modern range was new when it was first installed in this kitchen and it is still working. Keeping the range was at the top of the priority list. The client loves items with a history, the hutch is actually a doctor's instrument cabinet that was reclaimed from the Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewing company. Authentic treasures and current reproductions were carefully married to create a period style kitchen fit for a 21st Century lifestyle.
